Care for Valentine Over Spring Break

Our resident guinea pig, Valentine, needs a home over spring break. He is a delightful and friendly pet and we will provide all the supplies and instructions for his care. If you are able to take him home please email admin@urbanprairie.org.

Spring Clothing

While the weather is getting warmer, it is still fluctuating wildly! Even if you see a high in the forecast above 60 please send your child with layers. When they go out for snack at 10 am it may still be in the 50’s, not to mention forecasts are not always entirely accurate. We appreciate your support in keeping the kids healthy and warm!

Who were the big kids on campus Monday?

We were happy to finally welcome students from our next door neighbor school Simpson on Monday!  They do not have a gym space, and their students have long wanted to find a way to play volleyball.  Once we heard about this need, we knew that this was our chance to be good neighbors.  They enjoyed a great afternoon of volleyball in our gym, and we look forward to continuing to build our relationship with them.

Thank you to everyone who had a hand in the Festival of Spectacles!

Thank you to Leticia Gomes and Essi Ala-Kokko for taking pictures (these will be made available to all as soon as possible). Thank you to everyone who stayed after the First Friday Coffee to pick up trash, move furniture, and clean. Thank you to everyone who came on Saturday to watch the shows and pitch in during and after.
