Curious Question   (1)
Has UPWS had the soil tested for the ability to plant gardens (and eat the produce)?

Yes!  In August of 2017, UPWS had a soil survey conducted by Pioneer Engineering and Environmental Services LLC.  Exposed soils were certified to be free of contaminants and safe for planting and consumption.
