About Parent Council

Vital to a Waldorf Education is a healthy and active relationship among parents, the Faculty, the Administration, and the Board. The UPWS Parent Council was formed in 2012 by UPWS parents, and is based upon the AWSNA recommendations  for parent participation in Waldorf Schools, as well as input from other Waldorf school parent organizations across the US.

Every parent at UPWS is a member of Parent Council and is encouraged to attend quarterly parent meetings and actively participate in the many volunteer opportunities available. As the school grows to encompass all eight grades and their families, Parent Council will continue to develop and evolve to meet the needs of UPWS.
