Safety Overview

We will continue to follow current public health department guidelines to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

As the majority of our campers are under 12, we will all be masked unless eating, drinking, or taking a planned mask break. Eating, drinking, and planned mask breaks will be outdoors whenever possible. Whether indoor or outdoor we will maintain a 6 foot distance whenever masks are off.
Well Ventilated Spaces
Windows will always be open and air purifiers running. Meals and most afternoon activities will be outside whenever possible. We have a large shade tent to facilitate outdoor space use.
Social Distance
Our indoor spaces are very spacious allowing for more than 6 foot spacing at all times. Spacing of at least 3 feet (per CDC and ISBE guidelines) will be maintained at all times while masked indoors, and 6 foot spacing should masks need to come off indoors or outdoors.
Urban Prairie has hand sanitizer stations throughout the school and camp staff will carry sanitizer. Students will be asked to wash or sanitize their hands before and after any activity, especially eating or drinking. A custodian will be onsite to clean frequently used areas, especially bathrooms, throughout the day.
